Second Section Placing at Stevenage

Following a welcome return to the L&SC Regional Contest of the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain at the Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, the Band is happy to announce a Second Place for their performance of The Aeronauts by Goff Richards.
Described by adjudicator Brett Baker as having “drive and purpose and contrast” and having “a good energy… much to enjoy and well directed” by adjudicator Steve Sykes, the Band puts it’s success down to the hard work of the whole team and particularly Musical Director, Mr. Melvin White.
The successful performance has led to the award of The People Challenge Cup and consideration for an invitation to the National Finals in Cheltenham in September.
