During the 2020 Coronavirus Lockdown, which suspended rehearsals and performances for all amateur music groups, The Tilbury Band, working in collaboration with Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School students (from the Chamber Choir and Wind Orchestra), The Essex Yeomanry Band and Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs put together a ‘lockdown peformance’, recorded on mobile phones across the county and painstakingly put together to get a large-scale performance of band and voice.
Celebration in Brass 2013 at Grays Civic Hall
In memory of the late Michael Foreman (former solo trombone of the Band), a concert was held at the Civic Hall, Blackshots Lane, Grays celebrating the music Michael enjoyed. The first half of the concert featured The Tilbury Brass Academy and The Tilbury Band, with the second half being a reunion/massed band, including musicians from the local and wider area. The concert was compéred by brass band veteran Mr. Brian Ford.
